Help Your Teen Think Biblically About Life's Biggest Questions

Your teen is developing a worldview. Are they learning how to examine what they believe and why? Every day, teens encounter competing ideas about truth, identity, morality, and purpose. From social media and entertainment to education and everyday conversations, these ideas shape how they understand themselves, others, and the world around them. But are they equipped to recognize those ideas and evaluate them through the lens of Scripture?

Why I Created This Workbook

When my own teenage son began questioning his faith, I experienced firsthand how important it is to make room for difficult questions and thoughtful conversations about Christianity. I wanted him to understand what he believed, why he believed it, and how to examine the ideas he encountered rather than simply accepting them. Those experiences helped inspire The Big Story Worldview Workbook. By God's grace, my son is now faithfully walking with the Lord. My prayer is that this resource will help other families have meaningful conversations that encourage their teens to seek truth, examine their assumptions, and develop a deeper understanding of God's Word.

Go Beyond Knowing the Right Answers

Designed for students ages 12–19, The Big Story Worldview Workbook helps teens develop biblical discernment through critical thinking, Scripture study, guided reflection, and real-world application. Built around the Four Big Questions, students explore how different worldviews answer foundational questions about:

  • Origin - Where did we come from?
  • Meaning and purpose - Why are we here?
  • Morality - How do we determine right and wrong?
  • Truth, redemption, and the ultimate direction of human life

Through guided activities, reflection prompts, cultural analysis, and real-world examples, students learn to identify worldview assumptions and examine them in light of Scripture.

Explore the Ideas Shaping Our Culture

The workbook introduces students to influential beliefs and worldviews, including:

  • Cultural Relativism
  • Secular Humanism
  • Scientism
  • New Age Spirituality
  • Progressive Christianity
  • Islam
  • Mormonism
  • Jehovah's Witnesses
  • And more

Students are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, examine claims, recognize contradictions, and consider how a biblical worldview addresses the issues they encounter.

Designed for Meaningful Discipleship

Whether you're homeschooling, leading a discipleship group, teaching in a Christian educational setting, or working independently with your teen, this open-and-go workbook provides opportunities for thoughtful study and discussion. You don't have to have every answer before beginning. The goal is to encourage students to engage seriously with Scripture and learn how to think through challenging questions.
